The Netherlands-headquartered horizontal, vertical and heavy transport specialist Wagenborg Nedlift has signed an order for five new MAN TGX 6×4 heavy haulage trucks. As part of their remit they will be used to transport counterweights for heavy-duty cranes. Wagenborg selected the model because it has been using four previous generation MAN trucks since 2019 and has been happy with them.
The MAN TGX 26.580 6×4 BL SA is equipped with a 15.2-litre D38 engine with an output of 427 kW (580 hp) and torque of 2900 Nm. This, Wagenborg says, makes them well-suited to transporting heavy loads over long distances.
The new MAN trucks are equipped with Euro 6 engines and MAN’s Tipmatic automatic transmission to ensure that they are as economical as possible compared to the truck’s they are replacing. The new trucks are expected to be put into service around May 2023.
