JW Burress, a distributor for Manitowoc, Grove and National cranes in the mid-Atlantic region of the USA, has been acquired by its management from American Equipment Company, a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.

The company will continue to do business as JW Burress Inc and all 10 locations, from Maryland to South Carolina, will remain open, the new owners said. The new owners are the senior management team of Richard Dudley (president and CEO), William Daly, Richard Graves, Roy Perry and Steven Reynolds.

JW Burress was founded in 1934 in Virginia by Jack Burress to supply drilling equipment. He sold the business to American Equipment Company in July 1997.
