The USTC boom truck manufacturing plant in York, Pennsylvania, USA will be fully vacated by 28 September.
USTC was acquired by Manitowoc in September 1998 and, along with the Pioneer product line which was also acquired, was consolidated into Manitex last year when the division was re-named Manitowoc Boom Trucks. All manufacturing and assembly is now based at what was the Manitex plant in Georgetown, Texas. Employee numbers at the site total approximately 120.
Manitowoc has also announced the new general manager of Manitowoc Boom Trucks. He is Brad Rogers, who succeeds Joe Conway. Conway left the company earlier this year.
Rogers joins from P&H Mining where he was director of parts, sales and new business development., based in Georgetown, Texas, USA.
