Orbcomm operates a network of low Earth orbit satellites that deliver tracking, monitoring and messaging capabilities around the world. CraneSTAR uses a dual-band approach to allow users to track and monitor their crane fleet around the world, with both GSM and satellite capabilities. Manitowoc says this makes the system “the most comprehensive asset management system our industry has ever seen”.
