Manitowoc has combined the North American sales forces of its crane and boom truck operations under Manitowoc Crane Group vice-president of sales and marketing Larry Weyers.
The Manitowoc Crane Group was formed in late October to bring together formally Manitowoc Cranes, which manufactures lattice boom cranes; Manitowoc Boom Trucks, which manufactures boom trucks (including the former brands Manitex, USTC and Pioneer); Manitowoc Remanufacturing, which remanufactures used Manitowoc lattice boom cranes; and Femco, which manufactures aftermarket replacement parts for non-Manitowoc cranes and repairs and rebuilds metal-forming, scrapyard, steel recycling, and aggregate equipment.
Explaining the new sales structure, Weyers said: “We formerly had regional managers for boom trucks and for cranes covering overlapping territories. Our new arrangement has created more but smaller sales territories, each having a single regional manager responsible for both types of products.” Under the new arrangement, North America is divided into a western region whose regional managers report to western regional sales director Jay Shiffler, and an eastern region whose regional managers report to eastern regional sales director Mike Wood.
Shiffler was previously vice- president of sales and marketing for Manitowoc Boom Trucks. Wood was North American sales director for Manitowoc Cranes.
Reporting to Shiffler are: Jarrod McCarroll (national accounts); Brad Marshall (Pacific region); Todd Elkins (Mountain region); and Ken Butz (south central region).
Reporting to Wood are: Matt Borchardt (north central region). Jay Andrew (northeastern region); Steve Pirigyi (eastern region); and Bruce Buchan (southeastern).
A manager for the New England region has yet to be appointed.
