Manitowoc’s EnCORE Americas appoint Ferreira

Manitowoc has appointed the current director of Manitowoc Crane Care in South America, Gilberto Ferreira, as the director of EnCORE Americas, the new remanufacturing arm of the firm’s Crane Care division.

Ferreira will be charged with expanding the crane and component remanufacturing programme and also developing the recently launched EnCore Partners programme, based in Bauxite, Ark.

He will report directly to the newly appointed vice president of Manitowoc Crane Care in the Americas, Scott Keckler.

Keckler said: “As we take steps to expand our crane and component remanufacturing program, we need experienced leadership to direct the developments.

“Gilberto brings a wealth of experience in customer support. His strong leadership skills will be an asset to the growing EnCORE program.”

Ferreira held a number of positions at Manitowoc since joining the firm in 1997, including director of Manitowoc Crane Care in Iberica. He has managed the development of Manitowoc Crane Care in South America since 2007.

As part of Manitowoc’s EnCORE Partners scheme, which commenced on January 1 2011, Manitowoc will allow partnered dealers that have passed capabilities assessments to provide remanufacturing and major crane repair work for Manitowoc cranes at the dealership.

Manitowoc will provide partnered dealer with specific commercial, technical and retail financing support to build the remanufacturing side of the business.
