Badger has started full production of the 30 USt cab-down style crane, and the first model is due to be delivered during September. The acquisition of Badger signalled a move into the rough terrain market for Manitex, traditionally a manufacturer of boom truck cranes.
“Response has been very positive and there is significant demand for this new crane as evidenced by the strong initial order pipeline,” said Badger general manager, T.A. Lee.
“As customers see more of this crane operating in the field we believe this demand will translate into further orders for 2009 supporting our quarter four targets.”
