Geoffrey Marsh of equipment company Marsh Plant has bought three new Liebherr 40t capacity LTM 1030/2 all terrain cranes. Following the SED exhibition in June Marsh has also ordered one unit of Liebherr’s new five axle 100t capacity all terrain crane, the LTM 1100/2.

The two axle 1030/2 has several features to allow it to cope with restricted jobsites. The cab can be detached when overhead clearance is limited and the pneumatic suspension can lower the crane by a further 100mm. There is steering on all wheels and the overall length is 10.30m.

The 1030/2 has a 30m telescopic boom and double swing-away 15m fly-jib with offsets to 40°.

A Mercedes-Benz six cylinder diesel engine gives a maximum travel speed of 80km/h.
