KCI Konecranes has promoted director of technology Matti Ruotsala to chief operating officer in charge of day-to-day operations.
He will also be deputy to Stig Gustavson, the group’s president and chief executive officer. It is the first time that Gustavson has had a deputy.
Ruotsala joined KCI Konecranes in 1982. Prior to becoming director of technology he was group commercial director from 1994 to 1997. Among his responsibilities were the acquisitions made in Germany. Between 1991 and 1994 he was in charge of Asia-Pacific operations.
