The site, which the company has used since 2005, will handlle the complete building process. Faymonville said this will substantially reduce processing time and thus the delivery periods.
The company went on to say that the concept of the configurable trailer, based on a modular construction with standardised interfaces, was consistently pursued in the production. The newly-erected 5,500m2 hall, will have a modern painting and assembly line installed designed consistently according to the "one piece flow" principle, whilst at the same time seeking to incorporate the latest logistical advances.
As in automobile assembly, the prepared material is brought directly to the production line.
The firm was keen to stress that at the location in Poland, the same processing and quality standards will apply for MAX Trailer production as in all the other plants, especially for the steel construction of a MAX Trailer in comparison to the steel construction of the standard Faymonville Trailer.
With a service workshop also recently opened at the production site in Goleniow. Faymonville said it was important that they offer a well-stocked spare parts warehouse providing the same quality level as at the parent company’s Belgium HQ.
