French crane sales and rental firm Mediaco has created a new lifting and aerial work division: Mediaco Helicopters.
The new division has just received its first H-125 helicopter, ordered from Airbus Helicopters. The H-125 B3 ‘Ecureuil’ (squirrel) has a lifting capacity of 1.4 tonnes, five seats on board, and is equipped to carry out a range of aerial work including lifting, surveillance, equipment assembly and dismantling, plus firefighting duties.
This first helicopter will be operated in partnership with the company Jet Systems Helicopter Services.
Jet Systems Helicopter Services has ten helicopters in its fleet and multiple bases that Mediaco can utilise – meaning the company is able to offer its helicopter lifting services across regions including the Pyrenees, the Alps, Savoie, and Corsica. Mediaco is already ordering a second helicopter for its fleet which it should take delivery of in early 2025.
