Fassi dealers from around the world were treated to a Mediterranean cruise at the end of May to celebrate the Italian loader crane producer’s 40th anniversary.
Franco Fassi began making truck loader cranes in 1965 in Val Seriana-Bergamo and his company has since produced more than 80,000 of them.
In 2004 Fassi Gru delivered 6,000 cranes, despite the string euro inhibiting export demand. This figure includes 1,500 domestic sales, making Fassi the market leader in Italy.
Founder Franco Fassi still owns the company, though today he is helped by his daughter Raffaella and son Giovanni, who is the company’s chief executive.
