A redesigned cab is being fitted to Merlo telehandlers, starting with the larger models first. As well as being 55mm wider, at 995mm across the shoulders, it has been ‘styled to feel lighter and more spacious’, the manufacturer says. There are now three dashboard air outlets and a brand new heater under the driver’s seat (an air conditioning unit is also an option), with inlet air being taken from the highest point of the cab frame, well away from dirt and heat. The new dash layout includes new hydraulic joystick controls.
