The LTM 1055-3.2 is the fifth in Emsley’s fleet and its 50th Liebherr crane. Others operating for the firm include an LTM 1200-5.1, an LTM 1030-2.1, two LTM 1160-5.1s, two LTM 1100-5.2s, two LTM 1040-2.1s, an LTM 1055-3.2 and an MK 110 mobile construction crane.

David Milne waves goodbye to Liebherr with sale of mobile crane to Emsley Crane Hire

Milne has a long-standing relationship with Emsley, with the late Joe Emsley purchasing the company’s first crane from Milne during his time before Liebherr. The relationship between Milne and Emsley has continued with Joe Emsley’s sons Peter and John.

David Milne retired as managing director of Liebherr Great Britain on 31 July. He has been replaced by Richard Everist, who has joined the Liebherr family from Danish lorry-mounted crane manufacturer HMF’s UK operation, where he has also served as managing director.

“It was a fitting end to a long and mutually enjoyable relationship with David Milne that we should place the last order with him before he retires,” said John Emsley.
