The Smart-Rig crane is a battery powered unit that features a two-piece telescopic boom that can lift 2,400lb to a height of 20ft.

It also features a water tank counterweight system that can be filled and drained easily, Smart-Rig said, as well as a remote controlled winch and hydraulic jack.

It is designed to fit through 36in doors, and operate in areas where other lifting equipment cannot operate. Markets where the Smart-Rig crane can be utilised include the military, utilities, schools, steelworks, other fabricators, sewage plants and oil refineries.

“The Smart-Rig crane is the only compact, eco-friendly, multi-purpose mobile rigging unit for versatile applications,” said Josh Clark, founder and CEO of Smart-Rig.

“The Smart-Rig crane can work in hard to reach places or where forklifts can’t. Companies using small cranes increase productivity, save time, prevent injuries from twisting and bending, avoid the danger of using chainfalls or make-shift rigging devices, and save money from trying to rent or buy large rigging cranes.”
