Modulift is the only modular spreader system available and is becoming increasingly popular due to its inherent flexibility. A single Modulift set can be used for lifting loads of various size and weight, by connecting sections to make different size beams. It provides a cost effective way to use the same spreader for different loads.

Nick Latham, Managing Director of Modulift, comments: “With the biggest international companies in the construction industry exhibiting at Bauma, it is hugely important for Modulift to have a presence at the show. This is a great business opportunity for us to continue expanding our broad customer base. We will have a selection from the Modulift range on display, including QuickJoint, the newest addition to the Modulift spreader system. “

“QuickJoint is a bolt free solution which has been designed with the light maintenance market in mind,” explains Nick. “It uses a ‘plug & socket’ joint arrangement to ensure safe, easy handling and quick assembly of the modular spreader systems. QuickJoint beam sections are slid together and locked in place with a pin, negating the need to fasten bolts whilst putting the spreader beam together.”

The popular Modulift 34 will be the largest Modulift on display in Munich. Part of the heavy range, it has a span capacity of up to 8 metres and a load capacity of 34 tonnes at 3 metres or less. Other Modulift spreaders on display include the Modulift 12 and 24, from the portable range and the Modulift 6, which has a load capacity of 6 tonnes at up to 2 metres and is suitable for manual handling within light maintenance applications.

The Modulift range comprises 16 systems, which provide lifting capacity for weights between 2 – 3000 tonnes and lengths from 200mm – 53m. The system is used for the smallest maintenance work to the largest lifting jobs in many industry sectors. Modulift currently has sales and rental customers in the construction, maritime, offshore, oil & gas, industrial and aerospace industries. All utilise the modular system to enable the lifting of various loads, without the need to buy or rent new spreader beams for every different job.
