US tower crane rental specialist Morrow Equipment has ordered 20 Alimak construction hoists to replace its ageing fleet of Tornberg (Pecco) hoists. The new FC 650 units which will all be delivered by the end of the year.
‘We liked the counterweightless hoists with frequency converter, very little downtime, economical erection and jumping costs,’ said Morrow president Christian Chalupny, President of Morrow Equipment said. With no counterweights, the hoists are quicker to install. Frequency converters mean smoother stopping and starting.
