Contractor John Mowlem has taken delivery of two new lattice boom crawler cranes from Sennebogen, a 40t-rated 640 R/KB and a 70t-rated 670 R/KB. And it is getting two more next month.

The first two machines were specified with 160kN crane/freefall winches and the 70t machine has additional hydraulics and a larger Caterpillar 291kW diesel engine for foundation work.

The cranes are to go into service both as lift cranes and piling rigs in Mowlem’s infrastructure services division.

Mowlem is scheduled to take delivery of a pair of Deutz engine powered 640 HD/K2, with 120kN crane winches.

The cranes were purchased through EH Hassell & Sons which Sennebogen appointed as its dealer for the UK and Irish Republic last year.
