MSG ordered the 500t crane with a full range of equipment, including luffing jib and a Y-guying system for the telescopic boom. This, MSG said, will allow it work across the broadest range of applications.
In countries with axle-loading restrictions, Liebherr said the LTM 1500-8.1 can travel at up to 80km/h with a 12t axle loading, 96t total weight, all outriggers and a four-section telescopic boom. In countries without such restrictions, it can also travel with a seven-section telescopic boom that extends to 84m.
MSG has also placed an order for an LTM 1400-7.1 in order to fill the gap in its offering between the 300t and 500t capacities.
