The LCI-80 features an electroluminescent display that was developed for use in fighter jets. MTNW said this display can be seen in direct sunlight, with a 170-degree viewing angle, and, as such, is ideally suited for outdoor use and in-cab applications.
MTNW said it has launched the LCI-80 for use with cranes, winches, sheaves, hoists and other applications where “visibility is crucial”.
The LCI-80 is smaller and cheaper than the existing LCI-90 and LCI-100 displays, with MTNW saying this will allow companies currently using panel meters and analogue gauges to switch to LCI technology.
“For customers who need high visibility, high reliability and need to monitor just a few key variables, the LCI-80 is the right choice,” said Tom Rezanka, director of engineering for line control products at MTNW. “While the company continues to see growth thanks to its success in the oceanographic, offshore mooring and wireline markets, we look forward to the LCI-80 also being of interest to crane operators and a variety of smaller winch applications.”
