Bickerton Group’s £1.3m ($2m) contract to extend St Albans’ Verulamium Museum in the UK is being helped by a Potain GMR HD 16C hydraulic self-erecting tower crane.
The crane has a maximum capacity of 2,000kg and lifts 750kg at 24m radius with a hook height of 18.5m. Operation is by radio remote or cable control, and the crane features a powered self-ballasting derrick and towing unit.
It was supplied by Potain UK, which says that erection/dismantling takes less than two hours with an engineer and an operator.
