Online crane rental platform MyCrane has bolstered its team in the USA with the appointment of three experienced sales professionals.

The new recruits are: Jason Travis – Vice President USA Division Southwest (based in Houston, Texas); Robert Baty – Vice President USA Division Southeast (Chattanooga, Tennessee); and Andres Cuevas – National Account Executive (Houston, Texas).

With over 25 years’ experience in commercial heavy equipment rentals and sales, Jason Travis is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the platform’s day-to-day operations in Southwest USA. He began his career in the equipment rental industry in 1997 with South Texas Equipment Rental and was most recently a sales manager at Equipment Depot.

His counterpart for Southeast USA is Robert Baty, a seasoned lifting professional who has held positions spanning crane operator to vice president during his decades of service. Baty is a Certified Lift Planner, enabling him to draw detailed lift plans for large projects requiring meticulous planning and execution. He was previously employed by United Crane and Rigging, B&B Steel and Southway Crane and Rigging, among others.

Prior to joining MyCrane, Andres Cuevas held a sales position at an equipment rental company, where he was responsible for managing national and local accounts. At MyCrane, he serves as a connection between clients and crane suppliers, helping customers use the MyCrane platform to hire the lifting equipment they need.

In addition to the new appointments a new MyCrane facility will open in Pearland, Texas in the coming weeks.

“Our growth plans include a particular focus on the key markets of the USA, South Asia and Saudi Arabia – and MyCrane will be active in all of those territories, with its own operations, in a matter of weeks,” said Andrei Geikalo, founder and CEO of MyCrane. “It was therefore logical to boost our operations in the USA, where we see activity driven by investment in sectors such as the construction, renovation and expansion of manufacturing plants, as well as renewable energy and carbon capture and storage.

“MyCrane is growing rapidly around the world and the appointments of Jason, Robert and Andres will ensure we have the best expertise to support our growth objectives in North America. All have a clear understanding of the way digitalisation can be used for the benefit of our diverse client base.”

Dubai-based MyCrane says it currently has more than 3,000 registered customers, and more than 15,000 cranes available to hire at its free-to-use platform.
