“The 1300H fills the gap between the 1100 series and 1400H series stand-up crane models,” said Mike Herbert, National Crane senior project engineer.

The crane’s operating console can be detached and moved between operator stations. “When the operator has to move between the load on the ground and the controls on the truck, he doesn’t have to constantly walk around the bed to reach the controls or climb over the payload to reach the ground,” Herbert said.

The Easy Reach technology also makes the 1300H the only stand-up control crane with pilot-operated hydraulics, which allow smooth operation and precise load control. Meanwhile, all of the valves are centrally located behind a hinged door that allows easy access for service.

The 1300H also features CAN-BUS electronics along with a graphic load moment indicator display and work area definition system.

Dual “H” style outriggers and rear stabilizers allow full-span, mid-span, and retracted-span lifting capacities.

The four-section boom is available in 21m (69 ft), 30.5 m (100 ft), or 33.5m (110 ft) lengths. Maximum tip height is 49m (162 ft) with the 33.5m (110 ft) boom and 13.4 m (44 ft) jib.

National Crane offers the 1300H with optional features such as a 7.6m – 13.4m (25 ft – 44 ft) two-section jib. Customers can also order a front stabilizer to allow a 410-degree working area. Radio remote controls are available as are personnel baskets and a removable steel bulkhead.

The crane was launched at an open day at parent company Manitowoc Crane Group in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.
