National Crane has upgraded its 500C telescoping boom truck, increasing its maximum capacity from 13.6t to 14.5t (32,000lb) and giving it extra reach, depending on boom option specified.

The new Series 500D has a vertical reach to 23.8m on its main boom and 36m with an optional jib. Outriggers have been widened for greater stability and the anti-two-block has been redesigned with the wire running inside the boom to eliminate the external wire reel. A rated capacity limiter is standard. Remote control is among the options.

The four boom options are: 7.9m to 20.7m; 7m to 21m; 5.8m to 14.3m; 4.9m to 11.6m.
