Fassi showed one of four new loader crane models for muckaway applications at the UK’s Commercial Vehicle Show in March. The F110AXS, largest of the four is particularly aimed at the UK market, along with the model below that in capacity – the F95AXS, Fassi says. The other two models, F60ACXS and F80AXS, are expected to be popular in France.

These XS (extra speed) versions for grab work have higher working speed and reduced lifting capacity. Oil flow is higher from the 50l/min pump and there is an oil cooler. A new style stand-up control has rod, rather than cable, operation.

The total annual UK market for this type of crane is widely estimated to be between about 300 and 500 units. Direct competitors for the new cranes, according to Fassi, are the Atlas 95.1, Palfinger’s Epsilon 93 and the HMF 1144.
