New guidance for self erectors

The Construction Plant-hire Association’s Tower Crane Interest Group has published a new 44-page guide, Safe Use of Self Erecting Tower Cranes (SETCs). Tim Watson, secretary of the working group that created the guide, explained: “The rationale behind the guide is that many of users of self erectors aren’t familiar with lifting management. The idea is to give people who haven’t used cranes before, everything they need to do so safely, in one place, with links to further useful information.”
