Columbus McKinnon has appointed two new European distributors for its range of lifting products.
Further to the appointment of Adrian Forbes-Black to the position of regional manager for Europe earlier this year, the US manufacturer has added Brandon Loadtite in the UK and Louis Reyners BV in the Netherlands to its list of international distributors.
Brandon Loadtite based in Avonmouth, will stock and promote the Lodestar and Shopstar electric chain hoists as well as CM’s manual products including the Hurricane manual hand chain hoist (also marketed by subsuduary Yale as the 360). CM products will now feature on the shelves of Loadtite’s parent company, the general tool hire company Brandon Hire.
Similarly Louis Reyners based in Zaandam near Amsterdam also stock of the Lodestar and Shopstar. A further stock of Hurricanes will arrive shortly, CM said.
Forbes-Black said: “Louis Reyners is our longest serving international customer with its first orders being placed in the 1920s. I am therefore obviously delighted that they have decided to start actively promoting our products once again.” Brandon Loadtite sales manager Lee Chandler said: “The UK lifting market is quite stagnant at the moment so for us to be able to offer something new which hasn’t been too heavily promoted over here before is great news.” Forbes-Black added that he hoped to announce more European agreements in the near future.
