J&M has been in business for over 60 years and runs a fleet of cranes ranging from 35t to 220t as well as a fleet of transport equipment.
The CR-350Ri boasts many features such as a hydraulically telescoping and hydraulically luffing fly jib, outrigger length sensors with multiple set up options, a new colour touch screen safe load indicator system equipped with working range limiting functions, a European compliant Mitsubishi engine.
James Lawrence, managing director of J&M, said: “This New Kato has joined our extensive fleet of cranes and the purchase of this CR-350Ri is replacing a 25t Kato City Crane that we purchased from Rivertek over ten years ago.”
Sussex-based Gearing Plant Hire took delivery of a 13t Kato City Crane. This crane has a 24m main boom and 5.5m fly jib, outrigger length sensors for variable outrigger situations.
Darren Gearing, managing director of Gearing Plant Hire, said: “It is ideal for tight jobs and with a 24 Meter Boom on such a compact chassis it can get right up against its work. We specialise in the jobs that nobody else can do and this crane adds to our range of services”
Ivan Bolster of Rivertek Services said: “ We are seeing a continuous focus from new and established crane hire companies towards adding versatile City Cranes to their fleet. With low investment and running costs coupled with a high rates of return these cranes are adding value both on work sites and on the books”
