Harrington Hoists & Cranes has launched a new lever chain hoist with a rated SWL of 230kg (500 lb). The LX Mini Puller, as its name implies, is intended for use in tensioning as well as lifting, for both industrial and consumer markets.

The lever hoist weighs just 1.6kg (3.5 lb) even when fitted with 1.5m of nickel-plated load chain. Pulling force with maximum load is 18kg.

Harrington is showing this small hoist and its LB line of hand lever hoists at the NA 2004 materials handling trade fair in Cleveland, Ohio, USA at the end of March. There are eight models in the LB range, launched last year, with SWLs ranging from 680kg (1,500 lb) to 8.16t (18,000 lb). Headroom ranges from 280mm on the 680kg model to 681mm on the largest. The lever on the LB hoist has been shortened to make it more compact, but its has also been made stronger to handle pull force loads and resist twisting. In addition, the hook material has changed, the hook latch has been improved, and the load gear pinion has been redesigned. Optional accessories include a load limit warning handle and top hook extender.
