The EuroCompact “F7” has 100-tonne payload and 65 degree steering angle. The trailer is designed to be below road authorities’ special transport limitations whilst, at the same time, offering the greatest possible load length and maximum payload.
Thus, the “F7” can become operational by means of a simplified licensing procedure, and requiring only one driver and a permanent certificate of exception for empty runs in Germany.
The bogies were based on the proven pendulum axle technology used in the EuroCompact series with a 12-tonne axle load at a speed of 80 km/h. With one and two-axle dollies, two to five-axle pendulum bogies and different bridging and adapter versions, the “F7” EuroCompact series allows a wide range of combination possibilities to handle a large number of transport tasks.
The manufacturer has shortened the lowbed trailer combination by 500mm with a compact design of the gooseneck dolly combination and pendulum axle bogie. By reducing the length of the dolly and pendulum axle bogie, the coupling mass now only constitutes 17,190 mm when using a 5-metre bridge. Thus, the overall length when using a 4-axle truck tractor has been reduced to 21,800 mm.
The height of the pendulum axle bogie in the driving position has been reduced on the “F7” to a very low 1,165 mm, with axle compensation of 200/+420 mm.
In addition, the EuroCompact pendulum axle technology offers a 65 degree steering angle for the dolly and 60 degree for the pendulum bogie, which keeps the rear swing-out under 1,100 mm.
Excavator booms and boom extensions can take up an even deeper position down to 600 mm above the road surface, which has been offered through the heavy-duty recess in XXL format in the pendulum axle bogie of the “F7”. The 900 mm width accommodates large boom extensions.
