The business is a unit of Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc, and was formed from two Penny & Giles business divisions, Penny & Giles Controls and Penny & Giles Aerospace, acquired in 2002. Among a range of other applications, it produces joystick controllers and position sensors that are used extensively throughout the construction industry.
Rayment said, “The increased synergy between the two businesses provides us with a fantastic opportunity. Industry is demanding the higher specification in performance-critical components that we have been supplying to the aerospace market for more than fifty years.”
Rayment has previously been a board member of Accentus and GTL Microsystems. He holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portsmouth University, and an MBA from Bournemouth University.
