ITALIAN manufacturer FB Gru is launching two new self-erecting tower crane models.
New to its GA compact crane series is the model GA 724 which is a bottom slewing self-erector equipped with inverter controls on all the movements.
Electronic displays monitor the hoisted load and the trolley position on the jib. The system also gives a continuous safety check of all the parameters. Height under hook is 19m, the jib is 24m long and maximum load capacity is 1,500kg, reducing to 700kg at jib end. Maximum height in stowed position for transportation is 2.8m.
The second new model is in FB’s series of top slewing city cranes and is designated GH 146. Free height under hook is 42m, the jib is 46m long and load capacity at the jib end is 1,000kg. This model is also equipped with inverter controls for all movements.
Both cranes will be exhibited by FB Gru at the SAIE exhibition being held in Bologna, Italy from 16 to 20 October 2002.
Also new among the tower cranes at SAIE will be Gru Dalbe’s HF 162, the first of a new generation of small cranes that this manufacturer is planning.
A full listing of what to see at SAIE will be published in a special show preview next month.
