FIRST ‘graduates’ of Bridon American Corporation’s new wire rope training programme are Mike Wood, executive vice president of North Central Crane & Excavator Sales Corp; Keith Opperman, Manitowoc’s manager of technical training, and James Gilbert, of Peter Kiewit’s training department.

The three men participated in the first session of the new Bridon U (university) wire rope education programme. They were instructed in wire rope characteristics, correct use and maintenance, and examination and discard. The course was specifically tailored to focus on the applications of Bridon products on Manitowoc Cranes.

Bridon director of sales and marketing Bob Madden said: ‘Bridon American has always focused on customer support, and we believe Bridon U will raise this support to a new level.’
