Liebherr has launched a new upgrade, modification and overhaul service called Liebherr Transform. It is available for crawler cranes (up to 400 t), deep foundation equipment, and duty cycle crawler cranes.
The service is tailored to meet individual requirements and encompasses upgrades, retrofits, machine overhauls and service modifications with the aim of breathing new life into Liebherr customers’ existing machines.
Consultation, installation and technical support are all part of the service which, Liebherr says, incorporates its latest technology combined with years of experience.
Machine modifications can be of a structural, electrical, mechanical, ergonomic or digital nature.
Liebherr says that the service provides users with a combination of sustainability, smart technologies, maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness in one solution, enabling existing equipment to reach its full potential.
Sustanabilty can be increased primarily by extending the service life of machines, saving users the increased capital expenditure of investing in new machines, and reducing their CO2 footprint by avoiding the need for new equipment through the extension of the service life.
A number of retrofits and upgrades are available which increase versatility and performance or ensure compliance with more stringent regulations, says Liebherr. This, it claims, opens up a wider spectrum of opportunities. At the same time, operators do not have to get used to new machines increasing safety and reducing any downtime for training.
