The market for exports of US-made construction machinery closed 2004 with a gain of almost 30% compared with the previous year, a total of $8.9 billion worth of equipment sold worldwide, according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has opened a Canadian office in Ottawa, Ontario. The goal is to further raise the profile of the equipment manufacturing industry in public policy issues, to assist companies doing business in or with Canada.
