The move will make Anzengruber in charge of personnel, procurement, communications, investor relations and finances.
He will hand over responsibility for production to Martin Zehnder in early 2008. Zehnder is currently global manufacturing manager, and will become chief operations officer.
“With this modified structure we will be able to ensure maximum continuity and to further pursue the successful growth of our company because we have created the best possible conditions by putting one Management Board member in charge of production processes only,” the company said.
• The company has announced it has completed the purchase of Croatian structural steel fabricator PiR metal. Since 2001 Palfinger has held a 20% stake in the firm.
The firm, which has 95 people and sales of EUR 5m, will be converted into a welding and processing plant.
Palfinger said it was buying the company because of the ‘growing significance of the components supply industry.’
