Austrian manufacturer Palfinger has appointed Wolfgang Anzengruber to the post of chief executive and chairman of the management board. He takes over from Klaus Schützdeller, who resigned in February.
Anzengruber, who will join Palfinger on 1 September 2003, has been a member of the management board of Salzburg AG responsible for distribution, marketing and technical services since 2000. Salzburg AG is a diversified utility company involved in energy, water and telecommunications. During the 1990s he worked for ABB in Austria, as a manager in the robotics, drive engineering and factory automation divisions, then as business manager for ABB Energie AG and then as a member of the management board of ABB.
Aged 46, Anzengruber will be primarily responsible at Palfinger for manufacturing processes. Eduard Schreiner has been finance director since March 2002 and Herbert Ortner and Wolfgang Pilz took over responsibility for sales and marketing agendas in February 2003 when Schützdeller left.
