Palfinger is launching a new series of simpler, lower cost knuckle boom loader cranes under the brand Advantage. With this launch, it has reorganised its product line into three main crane types: Advantage, Performance and Compact.
The first crane in the Advantage range, the PKK 12500, is launched at SAIE, the Italian trade fair, in October. The Advantage cranes are ‘simply and compactly built and at the same time equipped with the key technical elements which are characteristic of a Palfinger crane,’ the company said.
The Performance crane range was launched in 2000 and by next month will run to 29 models, from the 4.5tm class PK 4501 Performance to the 90tm class PK 90000 Performance. The Compact range began in 2002 with the PK 2400 and two new models in this series will also be launched at SAIE. Four more Compact cranes are planned to complete the series.
Components of all Palfinger cranes are made in Slovenia or Bulgaria and are assembled in Austria or Italy.
