Since 2007, manufacturers from the industry have been competing for this award every two years with wide-ranging innovations. The new products nominated by this year’s jury are trendsetting solutions through and through and will result in improved functionality, user-friendliness and cost effectiveness.
The Synchronised Rope Control system maintains a constant distance between the pulley head and the hook block. If any crane movements are performed that affect the rope length, the system electronically and fully automatically adjusts the rope length to match. The manufacturer says that the key advantage is that the crane operator can traverse loads horizontally at a constant height without having to adjust the rope winch. It added that it also improved safety as the damage caused by the system to the rope and load is avoided as is the risk of the hook block running onto the pulley head.
