The 2,000t capacity PC9600, from Sarens UK, was equipped with two boom configurations: 84m main boom and 56m fly, and 84m main boom and 70m fly. The 84m/56m configuration was used for the final dome lift, operating with 600t of superlift at 70m radius.

The containment liner roof had been transported by sea from Poland to Finland, with a 1,250t capacity Terex CC6800 crawler crane unloading the unit when it arrived in Finland (Cranes Today, September 2009).

The PC9600 was then used for the last stage of the installation, lifting the 15m-high and 47m-wide dome atop the cylindrical walls of the containment liner. The roof was then attached with bolts before the lifting cables were removed.
