The STT280 measures up to +/- 60°, with an output range from 0.5 to 4.5V DC over the full inclination angle.
Based on proven solid-state technology, the new sensor has a power requirement of less than 6.5mA, so it can be used in hard-wired or battery-powered systems.
Without moving parts, the solid-state sensor has distinct advantages in reliability, stability and compactness over fluid based, electrolytic and pendulum operated sensors, according to the manufacturer.
The STT280 body diameter is 28mm (1 1/8 in). Its housing is sealed to IP68 and has a built-in moulded cable for durability.
