The 1100 Series is a family of 3.3, 4.0 and 6.6 litre engines with a power span from 36.9 kW (49.5 hp) to 205 kW (275 hp) with varying emissions controls to meet differing needs of countries around the world. “Emissions challenges are important to Chinese equipment manufacturers. Many will find they have to source multiple engine brands to meet emissions requirements for various regions of the world. At Perkins we believe the simple solution is to provide one engine platform,” the company said. Phase one of the plan was announced last year. The engines are made in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
