A police press press officer said that two off-duty police officers had noticed suspicious activity at a house at Middle Swan at around 3.00pm on 28 June. The officers later apprehended one man as he drove away from the property.

Search warrants were issued for the property, and police allegedly found two trucks, seven Hiab cranes, two trailers, a quantity of tools and drugs.

A 25-year-old Beechboro man with was charged with crimes including stealing motor vehicles, trespass, and damage. He will appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court today (Thursday 28 June 2007). A 34 year old Middle Swan Man was charged with receiving and stealing, and drugs offences, and has been bailed to appear in the Midland Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday (3 July 2007).

The police believe the equipment was stolen from an Embleton commercial workshop between Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 June 2007.
