Force measurement products manufacturer Piab supplied equipment to a Swedish team in the Whitbread round-the-world yacht race which wanted to know the exact weight and centre of gravity of its boat so that it could maximise its speed.
Piab offered use of an LL link plus remote read-out instrument LI300 and a digital crane weigher DKV5.
The boat, the EF Language, was first across the Capetown finishing line.
