Plant Installations (Coventry) Ltd – PIC – has taken delivery of its fourth 4th Versa-lift forklift, manufactured in the USA and supplied by local distributor Pooler-LMT .
PIC says that no other company in the European Union has as many Versa-lifts as it has.
The latest purchase is a Versa-lift 25/35 extending frame LPG forklift, rated at 16t capacity. It joins a fleet which includes another 25/35 truck and two 40/60 trucks (27t capacity).
These trucks are especially designed for machinery installation requirements, with 8ft long forks, retractable lifting booms (27ft max lift), and extending frame with removable counterweight.
PIC is a specialist machinery installation contractor. Assistant managing director Steve Cullinane said: “These trucks are changing the way we can move machinery. We can now move large machine tools quickly with ease, without removing guards, removing risks of damage to new floors, cutting machine ‘downtimes’ and machine tool fitting costs.”
