In Mesa, Arizona, Phoenix-headquartered construction and equipment rental company Marco Crane & Rigging used two Link-Belt all terrain cranes to assist with a bridge replacement operation.
Led by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT), the project included replacing two bridges over the Salt River Project Tempe Canal, east of Loop 101 and Broadway Road. The structures were replaced by a single bridge carrying traffic in both directions.
For the work Marco Crane & Rigging used a 300-ton Link-Belt 300|AT and 275-ton ATC-3275 which picked and placed precast concrete bridge sections in tandem. Construction began in September 2025 and was completed in the spring of 2026.
