There will be a new crane series with double linkage, PM 15S and PM 16.5SP. The new models feature an Electronic Moment Control Device (PT Compact o PowerTronic CAN BUS) and a range of accessories usually found with larger cranes.
The new models are available until a maximum of 6 hydraulic extensions on the crane base and in 4+4 or 5+2 boom+jib combinations. Another innovation is the introduction of the new proportional valve block D4000, which will be offered as an alternative to PVG32, in order to supply a competitive remote control system also on the entry level models.
They also feature stabilizer cylinders which can tilt in axis.
The cranes have many other advanced features. Hydraulic pipes have been placed inside the column, in order to minimize damage of the most common kind. The tilting in axis stabilizers are controlled by a lever valve block and they are available in manual or hydraulic version, with three different span sizes, in order to grant stability in any kind of application.
A regenerative circuit on the boom extension allows the crane to optimize the hydraulic flow and increasing the exit speed of extensions. The boom can make an extra movement of 15° above the horizontal. The crane can slew a total of 405° around. They also have digital hourmeter for the rental sector.
Particular care has been given in order to respect the environment: the working pressure of 295 bar (the lowest of cranes in this range) allows a reduction in fuel consumption, PM said. The best granted coupling on Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles allows moreover to keep emissions low. Generally speaking all PM cranes are painted with very low impact environmental water soluble paints.
At SAIE, the company is also showing the Platinum family PM35.5SP and PM22SP (both with jib) mounted on trucks, and the PM 48, PM 65 and PM 85 (all equipped with jib). The stand will also show a new Oil&Steel access platform.
PM has 350 models in 46 series, ranging in capacity from 2tm to 85tm. PM distributes worldwide through a network of more than 200 dealers, almost all of which are dealers who install and resell PM products to end users.
