The 2.5t deadweight cranes have a horizontal reach of 12m and vertical reach of 16m. They are all-hydraulic for ease of maintenance. The cranes, and their paint jobs, were also specially tested and treated for resistance to sand. They were also fitted with a triple oil filter.
PM did initial specification work on the job in 2005.
Maintenance for the vehicles and cranes will be carried by the Iveco Amce branch present in Ethiopia.
PM’s 2006 sales revenue was EUR 156.2m, up 19% over 2005, for a total of 4,200 cranes. Exports grew by 39%, and now represent 56% of the company’s business. PM made up 51% of the PM Group business in 2006. Aerial work platform business Oil&Steel and scaffolding firm Pilosio make up the rest.
