Patriot Mechanical Handling Inc (PMH) has been awarded a contract to supply two offshore pedestal cranes to Mexico’s state-owned oil company PEMEX.
Paul Findlay, PMH president in Houston, Texas, said that one crane was a slew bearing design crane and the other a Kingpost design.
The slew bearing APi-2C Type C crane has a capacity of 40t at a 30ft radius, and the Kingpost API-2C Type E design has a capacity of 50t at a 30ft radius. The cranes, manufactured at PMH’s Houston facility, will be primarily used for the loading and unloading of supply vessels and for general platform handling operations.
