Container crane leasing company Portek International, based in Singapore, has won three contracts in Vietnam, China and Indonesia with a total value of $12m.
In Vietnam Portek is supplying two quay cranes and two rubber-tyred gantry cranes to the Vietnam International Container Terminal (VICT) in Ho Chi Minh City.
In Indonesia it is modernising a quay crane in the port of Semarang. This award follows, the supply of two mobile harbour cranes to the same port authority in May.
In China Portek is modernising the drive system of a quay crane at Hutchison Port Holdings’ Shanghai Container Terminal.
‘This is in line with our strategy to expand to markets to where we see growth opportunities,’ said Portek chairman and managing director Larry Lam.
